I think this will be the first time I'm submitting a card to the challenge over at Casology. I follow this blog every week and I have been so intimidated by "clean & simple" cards that I just ooooo and ahhh at the wonderful creations for the challenge, but that's all I do. Well this week the Casology word is Run, so I'm giving it a go, here's my card:
Hope my watercolor horse card is CAS enough for the challenge. I love the 2 stamps I used here they are from a company in New Mexico that I saw at a stamp show in Golden, CO.
I just love this little umbrella girl from Whipper Snapper; she's just adorable. I made her with a polka dot raincoat, boots and umbrella for 2 challenges this week - the singin' in the rain challenge at Less is More and the Splash challenge at Inkspirational. Here's my card:
Thanks for stopping by today.
We are supposed to have rain this evening and I'll be singing :)
Lately I've seen a lot of ice cream cards, make's sense since it's Summer. Ice cream is my favorite treat, chocolate chip mint for me. On my recent trip to Tuesday Morning I purchased a Fiskar's stamp set called "The Sweet Life" and the ice cream cones on this card are from that set. I fussy-cut the ice cream and put some Glossy Accents on it to make the ice cream shine:
As sad as this is we have no ice cream at home and after posting this card I sure am craving some. I'll have to stop at the store and pick some up tomorrow :)
I took a trip to Tuesday Morning ( a great overstock store) and as always found some stamps on deal. This little Lion is from a Hampton Arts stamp set with cute happy birthday images and sentiments.
I chose the colors on the card from challenge 14 at The Card Concept (layering technique) and the design of the card from the sketch challenge at Seize the Sketch (the challenge photos are later in the post). I added Glossy Accents to the balloon, here's my card:
MY CARD WON THE COLOR CHALLENGE AT THE CARD CONCEPT!
and here are the inspiration photos:
I feel like visiting the Denver Zoo this coming week-end, think I will :)
A color challenge is being held at the Less Is More blog this week and the colors for the challenge are Earth tones, you know browns, beige, maroon, orange-yellow, etc. I immediately thought of leaves falling from trees, however decided to go with my all time favorite beverage, coffee:
I cannot go through a day without my coffee, love the stuff.
